From Menstrual Cycles to Menopause: Health Concerns for the Warrior Woman
This session is a romp through the major events over girls and women's reproductive lifespan. We will review what we know (and what we don't!) about puberty and sexual development in girls and women with sickle cell disease. Topics will include what we understand about normal development, pain and painful periods, contraception considerations, pregnancy planning and pregnancy management for girls and women living with sickle cell disease.
